Michelle Creber on EverFree Radio

By Karzahnii

EverFree Radio has done an interview with Michelle Creber, the voice of Applebloom and the singing voice of Sweetie Belle. Amazing job, ponies!

The interview is brimming with intriguing insights into the life of a voice acting prodigy, so listen to it. After they break, I’ve compiled find a few of the points that directly concern the show.

  • Great news for season 3: “Nowadays we’re making them all [the CMC] have good voices,” (34:15) so no more waiting for CDs with underped versions.
  • She used the name The Cutie Mark Crusaders for the episode The Show Stoppers (45:30). Most likely an innocent mistake (that recording session must be very long ago after all), but perhaps also the working title of the episode. Does anypony know any details?
  • Though not absolutely fluently, she does in fact speak Fancy (42:30).
  • We can look forward to hearing a new song in “basically” every single episode of season 3 (49:00)! Music ponies of the world: Ready your bodies! (I wonder if this means 13 or 26 songs…)

So much for now. EverFree Radio is just delicious. Make sure to listen to the full interview.

Update 2011-11-21 22:53Z: This is not really an update, actually. If a few of you feel I should spoiler something in here, please leave a comment to that effect. Regarding the thing about the CMC’s cutie marks, Jayson already mentioned that on BroNYcon in September.

Update 2011-11-22 09:08Z: EverFree Radio has posted two station IDs (right click to download mp3) by Michelle in Applebloom’s voice in the comments on Equestria Daily. Enjoy.

Update 2011-12-16 12:11Z: You definitely want to listen to this.

Update 2011-12-17 09:55Z: For unknown reasons, the video and the page on EverFree Radio have been removed, but you can watch the song here now. (The original video was here.)

Update 2011-12-17 10:19Z: Michelle Creber said “@fxnavarro So sorry, was requested to take it down until approved,” when asked in the comments of this video of hers. A more detailed explanation can now be found on EverFree Radio.
